Well I had just bought a whole tenderloin and I sure would of hated to throw it in the garbage.

Knowing where meat comes from is one thing but I don't want to see it or give it much thought. If I did I would most likely become a vegetarian, but the video is funny.:-D
It is along the lines of how some of us (me) have all warm and fuzzy feelings about Bambi but when you hit a deer with your car and you see the damage the feeling is not so warm and fuzzy. My first thought after I got out to look at the damage was "gee I hope they can match the paint". Second thought was "yuck this is gross".

 

I'm not having a go at you Kat but this thinking really bothers me when I see it in other people, I feel it's everyone's duty as a carnivore to see where meat comes from and to even kill a few animals from a time to time and eat them.

The least people should do is watch a few slaughterhouse documentaries, I have many times, seeing the animals being stunned, bolt gunned, hearing the noises they make and having their throat cut and drained of blood bothers me but I force myself to watch it and make myself O.K with it because meat is delicious.

If one day I can no longer watch, that's when will become vegetarian.

On the other hand videos of animals or children being hurt for no reason is the only sub category of video I refuse to watch.

 

Rikky everyone has their own opinions and I am fine with that. I don't see that as a bad thing. I can and do agree to disagree with people of a different opinion than mine on most topics, save a few.
It does not take much for me to get queasy. There are a lot of sights, sounds, and smells that will turn my stomach. Blood is right at the top of the list. I can't help it that is just how I am. So for me doing what you suggested is out of the question for me personally. But you go right ahead.

 

I'm with you, Rikky. I grew up in a hunting and fishing family, and while it did bother me when occasionally our "pets" would end up on the dinner table I knew that's how it works and more often than not I helped put it there. I don't think everyone should have to kill their own meat, but I do think having it handed to us in styrofoam containers all dressed and pretty is doing us a disservice, allowing us to bury our heads in the sand as to its origins.

 

I don't care..................that's "THE BEST!"
