    Hello there,

I have been plagued by oinadserver popups for a few days now, and they're driving me insane! I've already spent hours and hours following your instructions and searching for similar cases on the internet, and a few times now I thought I had succesfully removed them, but then they just return after a while; just now after I hadn't seen them for a couple of days. I'm all out of ideas! Here's the hijackthis scan of my computer (what on earth is wrong with my Logitech Desktop Manager, by the way?). Thanks in advance for taking a look at it! Cheers,

    ~Boris

Edit by chaslang: Inline HJT log removed. READ & RUN ME sticky not followed.

Oops, my apologies... I attached the logfile this tie instead of copy/pasting it.

    Welcome to Majorgeeks!

Please follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.
    • Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support
    • Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.
    • Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.
    • After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:
    Downloading, Installing, and Running HijackThis

Make sure you also rename HijackThis.exe as suggested in the procedures. Use analyse.exe for the new name. This is very important due to some new infections going around.

    • When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too:
      • CounterSpy - ONLY IF you were not able to run Windows Defender
      • Bitdefender - from step 6
      • Panda Scan - from step 6
      • runkeys.txt - the log from GetRunKey.bat
      • newfiles.txt - the log from ShowNew.bat
      • HijackThis
NOTE: You can only attach 3 files in a single message so it will require that you use two messages to attach all of these logs!

Ok, I have now followed all the instructions in the Read Me/Run Me First section to the letter, but no program seems to be able to remove PurityScan, which looks to be the source of the oinadserver stuff. Here are all the scan results, thanks again for your time!

Sorry to say but you did not follow the directions for using GetRunKey and ShowNew properly and as a result the logs are not complete. You must follow the directions EXACTLY. You MUST NOT try to run the .bat files from inside the ZIP file which is what you are doing. Please follow the directions and attach new logs.

Also please answer a question. Is your copy of Ewido a free trial or a paid version?
