Ok got ZA running and I keep getting an alert that happens quite a lot...

ZA is installed and running and I keep getting an alert for port 445. It must have come up almost 40 times now. Just right now it has 6 alerts sitting up on the alert screen. What is that all about and what is port 445 used for? I don't have a networked computer.

Wow... until I installed Win XP on my computer back in the beginning of the month I never had a firewall on my computer. When I installed Win XP, I left the SP2 Firewall on and left it at that. Today I decided I would download and install another firewall, hnce me installing ZA. Has this been happening all along? I am also getting ports 135 and another one that came up red on the alert that I don't remember what port it is. I am hoping that this doesn't interfere with my gaming online.

 

Just don't allow the ports to be opened/applications open them unless you know what they are. This is normal with a fully functioning firewall, as it shows both inbound and outbound requests. Just tick the box that says don't show this message again, and everthing should be ok.

 

You should turn XP's Security center off. It's not good to run both and ZA is better.
