Old camcorder converter for pc?

Hello,

I have an old camcorder that is around a decade or a little older.
This camcorder uses tapes Hi8 type ones i believe.

I have some old family videos i would like to transfer to my pc and then a dvd. Is there some special hardware cables i could perhaps buy to hook up to my pc via usb and be able to transfer and or convert it to dvd format?

A company called DAZZLE makes adaptors that you plug your Camcorder or VHS player into that attaches to a USB port. Programs come with them to capture your videos to your computer and as I remember it (it's been a long time) also to CD. I have one that only inputs the videos and one that also puts them back onto the tape. Goggle for DAZZLE and you shoud get the information how to accquire.
