old google maps

is it possible to get the old google maps back?

 

i use google maps for work. i read meters and my missus tells me where i have to go. whilst at home on her laptop, i cannot do without her, i would get so lost, we both use laptops

 

mate thanks for the input, i get a hand held that tells me what address i have to go to ie 11 13 15 21 34 ect, my missus uses google maps to print me a map and use highlighters to tell me where to park and then walk. i dont have a smart phone so when i get lost she goes to ground view and tells me where to go. Today she got me to 15 mitchell street woonona nsw. impossible to find. the owner had never seen a meter reader before i was proud of her i had no idea where she was sending me. i get no support from my boss not even a new hat.

 

It aint gonna happen i work about a 2 hour drive from head office, i get nothing, use my own car an all. same hat for 2 and a half year. need a new job i think

 

log book get it back at tax time. i am in australia. should get a scooter. are you fellas in the us of a?

 

man i just want old google maps back i have a shit job google maps makes my job easier. by the way i get bitten by heaps of dogs. old google maps

 

as i said i am in australia classic google maps stopped working for us 2 days ago and apparently i cant get it back. i used to live in england

 

In the lower right corner of the map page there is a question mark. Click on it and you will see return to classic Google Maps.

 

i have no question mark!!

 

On the map page AFTER you put in your destination to get directions there should be a question mark at bottom right of page along with other symbols you can click on.

Classic Google Maps have been replaced by Lite Mode. You should see Lite Mode at the bottom right of the screen.

it wont work for me, have been told to persist with the new version and i will get used to it

 

"it wont work for me", is a little vague. Is there a particular feature(s) you used in the "Classic/Old" version that you can not find or use in the "New" version?

Some features are not supported by google maps for all browsers:
Requirements for 3D and Earth View - Google Maps Help.
In such cases you will automatically be switched to the "Lite" mode.

You will be forced to use the "Lite" mode too, if your computer does not have a supported video card and drivers.

 

Are you seeing this? Question mark and clicking on it? It gave me the option of switching back to Classic Google Map. Possibly you have to do it each time.
