    Dear all,
I hope I am posting in the correct location.

I have a MAC Book Pro 2009 running Mountain Lion OS 10.8.5 2013
    I have 2GB of RAM which I am upgrading to 4GB shortly.(DDR3)
    Processor 2.26MHz Intal Duel Core
Pro version5,5 with Chresh 3MB and 160GB Hard Drive.

Apple would not support a software update on this due to being obsolete.

Can I upgrade, and if so would someone share a link for the software, please? What could I upgrade to, and could i jump directly to that version?
Big thank you in advance for your help and support.
    Nigel

according to owc aka other world computing [ the only place i buy apple stuff ]
    https://eshop.macsales.com/guides/Mac_OS_X_Compatibility
    10.8 / 10.9 / 10.10 / 10.11 are supported
there is a note about bluetooth there, [ no handoff support ] but i don't know that it means
i would think you could just jump to the version you want,
but of course, always make a backup first.
    good luck with it!
