older joystick and gamepad on new pc ?

I wanted to know if there are any connectors so I can use old joystick or super fightpad (gamepad) on newer pc. Because my pc does not have a relevant port for the joystick or gamepad cord ?

 

Are you talking about the Joystick DB-15 port, or a Serial DB-9? If a Joystick port, you can purchase a Soundcard with a DB-15 joystick port on it. If DB-9 serial, you can get a USB adapter.

My motherboard does not have any relevant ports , I guess there must be a 15pin usb for this I am looking for one now.

 

If you have a sound on your machine, you most likely have 15-pin D-connector capability. For as long as I can remember, the 15-pin D-connector game port ( also known as MIDI-port) is part of the sound card module. So whether you have "on-board" sound, or a separate PCI/PCIe sound card, there will be a connector, somewhere. The connector may have come with your computer as an "extra" component that slips into one of the removable slots in the back of your computer. If it did, then one end will be a 16-pin rectangular female header connector with a ribbon cable attached to a 15-pin D-connector that is installed in an "ell" bracket that fits a vacated slot in the back of the computer case. With your motherboard documentation, you should be able to track down this 16-pin rectangular male header on the motherboard. At any rate, even if it's lost, you can easily replace the cable for a couple of dollars.
