OMG Frustrated!

Yeah, here I am making a thread here again, I don't care, I'm desperate.


I recently did a lot of registry repairing n what not with this program called "System Mechanic Pro v5.0c"

Also, I had tried out LITESTEP and ended up hating it so I uninstalled it.

Afterwards, I rebooted and 90% of my icon pictures were GONE! I am SOOO frustrated. I can restore them all manually but it will take at least a month to do it all, so how can i fix this easily?

ALSO - 90% of my .exe files (NOT SHORTCUTS) are without icons, yet the icons are still packed into the .exe files (duh).

you could've tried doing a system restore

 

I have system restore DISABLED.

 

Would be nice to know what OS you are using but if you download Tweek UI there is a "restore icons" menu in that, it may do the job for you

 

I already tried that and all it did was remove my icon positions.

 

i think im having the same problem as you. But im running under winme. Im not sure what happened but all my icons are screwed too. Any luck?
