OK it took me 2hours just to be able to get to the posting area....

Someone please help me...This is driving me crazy!!!!!

Problem: Last month I downloaded something that wasnt what it was supposed to be. Since then My PC and my laptop have been infected (on the same wireless connection)

The symptoms are pretty much the same on both..

My PC runs EXTREMELY SLOW using an average of 120,000 - 150,000k of memory on scv.host, AOL and explorer.

Ever time I try to shut down my computer it automatically starts up again. It never did this before. I now have to manually shut it down.

Occasionally (about three times since infection) the PC will have a mind of its own and not restart. Its hard to explain but It will shut down and on restart it will (access D drive Access E Drive Access Floppy and repeat) But never start!

I have reformatted both computers (TWICE) I have run every possible spyware, reg clean, Virus scan , Malware, Ect.. I can find(in andout of Safe Mode). NOTHING has fix this problem. ....Everytime I restart or the next time I access the internet the problem is still there

CPU usage is always way too high and I often have to restart to recover from freezes

"I recieved email from EBAY yesterday that someone has accessed my account Info!!!!"

I have followed the intial instructions on your malware forum and I am ready to Listen...... PLEEEEASE HELP !!!!

    AHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!

    Mike

    Welcome to Majorgeeks!

If your problems are still there after a format, it sounds like you are reinstalling from infected disks.

Do you mean your were able to run the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support

If so, please attach the requested two logs from step 6 and the HijackThis log per the instructions in step 7 (make sure you install it properly - 80 % of all users do not).

Thank you for taking the time to Help!

I have went through the read and run section for my Laptop, I have yet to finish the PC but will send those upon completion.
    The results are attached.

As far as reformating. I reformatted both computers with there respective CDs that came with them. I dont know if I did something wrong. I simply followed the prompts on the Recovery disks.

    Thanks again

    Re: Attachments???

You still did not attach anything. Read the links in the sticky thread that explain how to attach files.

Also do not attempt to work both PCs in one thread. Pick one PC and work on it until complete and then begin a new thread for the second one. Make sure the full READ ME is run for it too before posting and post ALL three logs.

If you used recovery CDs, you probably did not format the harddisk.

Sweet looks like it worked... As per your request I am only worried about one computer right now. My Laptop..
Regaring the fact that I have two computers infected on a network. If I clean one and not the other. Wont the infected one just automatically infect the clean one? even with out transfering files. Should I keep my PC turned off until I get the laptop cleaned and Visa-versa??

So the laptop is still being crazy ...Last night I got repeated messages that my antivirus was disabled and It wouldnt let me re-enable...Until I restarted.
This virus seems to go through stages, it will be some what dormiant for a few days and get progressivley worse until I have to run a bunch of cleaners on it ...Then we start all over again!!!
I know SHUT UP your talking to much, Sorry just fustrated.

You forgot to attach the Bitdefender log.

Yes you do want to repair both PCs but not in a single thread. They will not necessarily infect other PCs on the network but they could. Chances are lower if you have proper protection in place but it is not guaranteed. Yes, if you could remove the other PC from the network while working on the first one, it would be safer. However, do you need to use the other PC.

However now that I have said all of the above, this PC shows no signs of infection!

What exactly is your problem? If it is just performance (i.e., it is slow), stop some of the stuff you have running like one we asked you not to use in the READ & RUN ME. That is, Spybot's Teatimer.

Is Spyware Doctor paid for? If yes, keep it and uninstall Windows Defender and any AOL antispyware crap!

You biggest performance improvemant will come from dumping Symantec/Norton.

    Thanks for looking.
What should I do next? I know this computer is infected with something.. Every time i log on there are several cookies to websites Ive never been to even after I clear my history and havent visted a single site.
At times im not able to use my Ctrl-Alt-Delete.
I recieve messages from my antivirus saying its disabled.
This computer is on a cable line and only a year and 1/2 old, Normally it runs so fast but now ive got a constant overload in my CPU/Processes
Is it perhaps just a really well hidden virus? of some sort?
    What should I do?

the bitdefender log was empty, I didnt think it would be helpful
Ive attached a log of a quick scan I just did

    Thanks, Mike

    Already answered!

Not according to your log. Cookies are normal and will always be put on your PC if you do any surfing at all! You do not have to explicitly visit a particular website. The cookies could come from other websites. Try closing ALL browsers and disconnect from the internet (unplug cable) and cleaning history and cookies for ALL USER accounts. Then check again. And you should be clean. Now connect to the internet and open a browser. Check your cookies now!

Not necessarily malware and what do you mean "at times". Do you mean you only have this problem sometimes? What applications are open at this time? Some applications will do this on purpose. Most games do this but others will do it too.

Ad-Aware logs are rarely of any use! And there is nothing in yours that is really a problems. Just cookies and MRUs! Neither of which can be avoided and are perfectly normal to see on a PC.
