riiight so basically you appear to have just deleted the entire contents of your registrty.......

    well done!

best hope is to restore from a backup.

i do hope you used the system restore service :)

EDIT : oh my mistake, you actually deleted all of your software keys...that being the first screen youre confronted with..

(incidentally, to clean the registy, go to tools, registry cleanup, do them all ;))

Which Reg Cleaner? There are several different... but just about every one has some sort of UNDO function.. or creates backups....

I'm surprised the computer even boots up, to be honest... no offense... it's just that the registry is so vital to the functioning of your computer that even the slightest thing you might do could totally comprimise your entire system. Playing with the registry, as anyone will tell you, is a highly sensitive and dangerous operation. In the worst case scenario, I'm sorry to report, is that you'll have to format and reinstall the OS and all the software.

Hopefully you can just pop in the OS disk and do a repair... though there's been reports of strange problems and complications from doing a repair. What OS are you running, BTW? And if it's XP, you may want to try a System Restore and pray it works. (Hope you have System Restore enabled!). The other option would be to double-check Reg Cleaner's undo information and find out whether you've deleted the undo information or not for sure. Sorry ta hear about your unfortunate experimentations... but don't kick yourself too much... we've all done it at some point or another! I know I have!

    EDIT
 Please! Before you take that last resort of formatting your hard drive and totally reinstalling the OS, there are options to try and salvage important files and information that you have on your computer before they're gone forever. Look into it, as I'm not exactly sure what OS you have, and even then, I'm not sure about the operations in which you'd have to go through to pull the files from the wreckage. But it's possible!

Oh, i c. Well, ill try to enable the Recovery system. It is in the D: drive partition. I think i may have really screwed up though. But, never the less. I did buy the thing from Comp USA, so im sure they will be more than happy to re-install my OS for me. Proly not a bad idea anyway, help me clean it up in a big way. Blank slate if u know what i mean.
