    Yeh dunno how I got it so soon, first was the 16th, then 13 days later. It has to be 10 days later so not too bad :)

    Congratulations! Are the tests in UK anything like the tests in Germany? That is where I took my first test. About an hour on the road with the instructor, learning 200 or so signs, U.S. test was much easier.

    Dunno what the new tests are like as they changed them from my day, only thing you had to do when I was doing my test was not run over the bloke out front with the red flag! ;) nah.. it was just a 40min-1hr test and as you say with instructor, driver around, do a set number of manouvers and correctly identify 1. a licence plate lettering/numbers 2. correctly ID a few road signs plus a few give way things.

    now these days, first you have to do a theory test then you do the practical http://www.dsa.gov.uk/cars.asp

    Hehe thanks!

    Yeh the insurance was going to go down to £600 for 3 people to be insured on the car, but when I got added as the 4th driver it went up to £1000. However, me as the first driver on the car would make the insurance £2500 alone just for me!!!

    wow. My insurance is pretty high, but as a second driver it's not too bad. I havn't found out how much it'd be just for me yet - but chances are it won't be that dissimilar to that :(
