OMG Vista :(

So I haven't posted in a while but here goes lol,

Ok so this is my problem, I bought this laptop and installed wow then realized that the stupid graphics driver keeps failing and so i went to intel's website and downloaded the update for the mobile 945 chipset family. So when it was installing it said that it had an unknown error and had to stop. Now when I reboot and Vista is loading these black bars go up the screen like an old blown tv tube. So then I rolled back the drivers and it didnt help. then i tried to install the drivers again and the same error. Should i just throw xp on it and forget this glitchy os?:confused

 

Yea blame vista for your video card manufacturers lack of proper drivers, which if your laptops built for vista, then your card may not be up to gaming. Or you may need to adjust your grahpics setting in wow. Likely xp is gonna have driver issues as well as it looks like your pc is vista designed. Good luck

 

Well the problem is not with wow because wow does not run when i am starting up the computer. The problem i have is with the bars going up the screen and the driver, while updating, has an unknown error. This did not happen until i tried to update the driver which was what, in many forums, said would fix the display driver crashing and recovering problem. In fact it made things worse and now i can not roll back the drivers. Also it is the correct driver for windows vista home premium 32-bit version.
