On board video....

    I posted a thread about this same topic a while back and nobody responded :cry So, I'll try again.... what are the best on board video chipsets -OR- what motherboard makes & models have the best on board video.... I'm not looking to buy a board or anything... this is more for research and just having the knowledge more than anything else....

    I'd say no one responded because there are no really good on board graphics.
    For one they usually borrow from RAM (some have their own now days)
    They are generic/ Intel chips (see Vista's recent woes with Intel video chips & the whole Vista compatible fiasco)
    There is no room for growth - unless you swap the mobo. (well you can disable them sometimes and use a slot if you got one).

    If I have to buy a board with built in video I'd look for nVidia or make darn sure it has a slot for a real video card.
