on firewalls

    can avast and outpost firewall be together...or should there only be one of them..if only one
    which one is preferred?

    Avast is an anti-virus program. ;)
    Outpost Firewall is a Firewall. :-D

    Just to clarify:

    Avast! Internet Security (paid version) has a Firewall included with an antivirus and spyware protection.

    Free Avast! is an antivirus.

    Yup, Outpost Firewall is a firewall only.

    I use PC Tools Firewall Plus along with Free Avast! antivirus.

    Only use 1 Firewall and 1 Antivirus!!!! More than 1 of each can/will create conflicts.
