So in all this madness, give us one good thing you can think of that is as a result of this. (Even you, TimW! :D )

I haven't put on makeup for over a month now.

Since I'm on essential work, I do drive. A lot less traffic, means a lot less crazies on the road!

Hoopla has raised the 5 rentals per month streaming limit to 20.
Acorntv has a 30 day free trial.

So, I can catch up on all the past seasons of Murdoch Mysteries, Midsomer Murders, and the new Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries movie!

Mom lives in memory care now so I'm not trapped in a house with a woman in late stage Alzheimer's, but I'm also not worried we'll lose her before we're allowed to visit again because her facility locked down WAY early and no one there is infected.

I'm finding and others are that video conferencing is becoming our normal way to meet multiple groups over the expense of travelling, we can hold and have done more meetings.

More QUALITY time spent talking and interacting with SHEWHOMUSTBEOBEYED as we are 7 stories up in our condo home away from the maddening crowd. What a treat to be able to be almost 24/7 with the one you love. We fight over who's fastest in solving the jigsaw computer puzzle and who makes the most on our online free computer casino games. Married 30+ years now and getting to know each other even better than before. She ACTUALLY made me some fudge the other day!!! Will wonders never cease?

My missus is the same- She loves those- hasn't
found a way to get rid of me ,yet, without getting caught, though.
That is the worst part of this- when my daughter went in with the virus, nobody could go with her, see her, and if the worst happened, we could not even see her off- Be glad she is in a really secure home (if there is such a thing) Just have to be positive- don't even think that way, just think when you can see her-
    All the best

I wrote this somewhere else, but traffic volume is down 30-50% depending on the region. People and businesses are working from home if they can. I think this could have a very profound impact on our life after the "intelligent lockdown".

And due to the insane decrease in traffic volume, there is a lot less pollution! Clear skies! A lot more wildlife around the area too.

I have been enjoying getting a ton of stuff done in my yard. I love gardening so for me that's a wonderful thing. I spent about 4 hours today mulching and we are going to plant grass seed in another area. That is making me very happy.

Stagehands may be out of work, but we are jumping in wherever and whenever possible to help. Our wardrobe folks are making masks and gowns and donating them by the thousands to medical personnel (related: the Sheet Metal Workers union is making nose pieces for the masks). Our electricians and carpenters are helping build field hospitals in cities where they are required. Our A/V technicians are arranging for broadcast from home capabilities for media, politicians, and other folks who need to get their message out. Our International union has partnered with several other organizations to provide information on where to find a therapist, where to find food banks, creating a way for members who need help to connect with members who are willing to help, and in general making sure we all know we are not forgotten. Our National Benefit Fund has reinstated health insurance to those who would have lost it for 2nd quarter, and waived all premiums for everyone for 3rd quarter so we all continue our coverage without fear.

I've been on a bit of an emotional roller coaster, but it makes my heart happy as well as making me cry every time another way the IATSE is helping ourselves and others pops up.

Those are good initiative Tibbs! I'm curious, are those face masks rated N95?

Good thing here: I think a lot of people are now re-evaluating what services are actually valuable. It's amusing to think that a lot of the "crucial jobs" here have all been victims of decades of budget cuts (healthcare, police, firefighters, education) and are very, very much underpaid (supermarket staff & day care staff in particular, those are basically minimum wage jobs). Hopefully this is one of those things that changes after this is all over.

When there is less traveling,There is less pollution so safe to say this is kinda a good thing.Less travel times in major city's due to people staying at home and not traveling to work every day.Less stress driving.

Some of them are, some of them are not, some of them have a pocket for an N95 filter. It all depends on what is requested by whoever needs them. I know the first batch my Local donated to a local college's nursing program (they've all been "promoted" even without graduation for the duration) didn't need to be, nor did the second batch that went to a local rehab hospital.

You say that, but China has already rolled out facial recognition software that can identify people wearing masks. The technology is already here.

My good thing for the day is there is actually a small light at the end of this tunnel that things will start to slightly open back up in a couple of weeks in Pennsylvania.

I just compared numbers (pa.gov with https://ncov2019.live/data) and we've had 2000 new cases in PA in the past 24 hours. That doesn't seem good.
Since my county has recorded the 4th highest number of cases in the state, I don't think things will be opening up here for awhile like some of the other low numbered counties.

My good thing for the day: I've discovered a few more places I can call and take away food! Less cooking.
