Hope someone can remember what the old error codes are. I have a friend's computer and something has died (either motherboard or CPU). It was completely DOA. I switched out the CPU with a known good Celeron. When I power up, all I get is a long beep and I can't remember what that signifies.
    Thanks for your help

Thanks for the quick reply and the welcome. Its funny, I've used the site for a long time but never registered. I'l try a vieo card and see if that corrects it. Currently, the video is on-board so it is also a possibility th MB has been fried. I'll check that next. Thanks again
