One month Net access!!

What if, for the strangest of reasons - Act of god and what not. Access to the net for PERSONAL use, was only available at a premium rate. How much would you pay to be on line for THE month. I'll go first...

I am paying about 60USD at the moment and i think that's too much

 

Bill, with all due respects ... but what if that was taken away, from you for a month?? yep my BB plan is about the same as yours and I'm sure you've got a faster one. Just the idea of not being on line for a month is scary. For me at least...Cheers...
This post is trying to figure one's addiction to the net and the cash one would be willing to drop for a given month...

same here...ive heard of stuff being thrown around that one could be charged depending on the sites they visit, kindof a piece-meal, pay as you go kind of deal...I don't like that idea...

I use the PC for a lot of other jobs,the internet makes some tasks easier (e-mail and so on)

Just as an after thought i would lose about 100 tv channels because the TV is also hooked to the internet, no doubt i would still have enough to look at.

 

My combined Telephone and Internet is $48. (about $21 phone and $27 net after taxes and fees that CA places on my bill.)

I do not subscribe to any newspapers or magazines anymore.

Boom my question still stands. What premium would you pay if for an entire month to access the net if it was taken away...Not the cost of your current plan. I know this is a bizzare question,,

$0.00, because I'm not addicted to it. I've gone off-line for a few months at a time several times before, when circumstances have meant I've had more important things to do, (as much as I do enjoy some of the conversations). Guess it would negatively impact on work, too. That would be a lot harder to reconcile, but not enough for me to pay big $$$ for it, especially if it was only for four weeks.

I already pay waay too much for the 'net'.:crybaby

Actually zDawg, when people who are regs here disappear for longer than a week everyone actually gets really concerned. So for all the teasing and joking, no, everyone would just want to know you were okay.

I still worry about Insomniac...said he would be out for a couple of months over two years ago

At the moment 1 month without internet might be a blessing.

I tend to read the news on internet but all you see now is 'credit crunch and McCain/Obama.
