I am facing this problem when I login with user account-1.
PC get booted and following msg displays
" One of the files containing the system’s Registry data had to be recovered by use of a log or alternate copy. The recovery was successful."
after that suddenly PC shuts off.

When I login with another user account this problem does't come.

My PC is using XP with service pack 2.
Pls help me out.

Does this happen every time you login to that account?

P.S. why on earth are you still on SP2 level? SP3 has been released more than 4 years ago.

Try http://fixitcenter.support.microsoft.com/ but chances are that it will not run on SP2.
