Is there a way to just have Windows update all your drivers, without having to go thru one-by-one updating them all? How often should i even be checking for updated drivers for things like my MoBo, chipset, monitor, etc?

    i use Win XP Pro

video card : they are usualy announced, check probably once a month would be good enough Sound card an about the same level, but these dont seem to be updated as much.

chipset drivers : once every six months is probably alright, unless its been announced and you've noticed

monitor : never. if your monitor works, then your driver is fine. Unless you have problems you probably wont ever need to update this one

If you have a big box (like Dell, Compaq, Packard Bell, Sony) then your computer's company probably has a driver website so you can download the correct drivers for your machine

And its probably best to choose your drivers before installing them, and definatley not from Windows Update, from the vendor's website, since they will be the most up to date.
