Online scans

Hi all, some where in Malware section the other day i found an online scan prog that goes through your programmes and tells you which ones are at risk or out dated. I can not remember what it was called but it allowed you to update those progs through the scan prog it self. This was working ok until i updated 2 windows security files then it locked up and i had to soft reset.
Not saying it was the prog ,as i often have issues with windows updates and have to sys restore. But the scan prog was useful,anyone know what its called and where i can access it?
