only days left....

Until my wife Jean and I (along with 6 others) go to Haiti on our mission trip.We leave on Friday afternoon from O'Hare Airport for Ft. Lauderdale and then on Saturday morning from Ft. Lauderdale to Port au Prince. I may be able to check in at the airport at Ft. Lauderdale if they have a public terminal open. For those of you that pray, I am asking for prayers for our safety and for God's work to be done. For those of you who are my friends but don't believe, I ask for you to be thinking about us while we are gone. We are due back on March 25th but I probably won't check in until the 26th or so. We will be painting some of the mission property and also participating in VBS while we are there. Please be diligent in your prayerful support and we will see you sometime after the 25th.

 

that's some heavy duty stuff you got there, dude. i wish you the best of luck and the best of success on your mission trip. what you're doing is just great. hope you have fun!

 

Should be a tiring but rewarding trip. Will be praying for you guys.

 

What group are you going with and/or what mission property will you be working with? We've had several groups from our church go to Haiti and the Dominican Republic to work also so I was just wondering.

 

We are going with our church (Eastview Christian Church) from Bloomington, IL. The name of the ministry is Haitian Christian Ministries and the website is www.hcmin.org

We will be gone from the 18th to the 25th and will be in the Cap Hatian area.

What a great experience awaits you. I believe everyone must go on some type of missions trip at least once in their life. This one will leave you with such a mix of emotions I'm sure as you encounter incredible poverty yet also beautiful people.

Love the Haitians and your co-workers, give everyone all you have, smile and laugh, weep with those who weep, look for what you will learn during this week, leave something of yourself behind, thank God every day for His provisions and remember to be a part of the TEAM.

I wish to thank all of you for your support. Only 2 1/2 days left before departure and my nerves are on end! I have never been so nervous before a trip and am not certain as to why I am on this one. I only pray that God will use me for His glory. Thanks again for the support guys!!
