I am paralyzed and depend on the onscreen keyboard accessory in Win 7/64 that I have been using with my mouse by hovering over a key to type. Suddenly, the hover function has stopped working. I confirmed that "hover over key" is the selection method in setup. I really need the hover method repaired.

I have rebooted but still no joy. Help please!?:cry

Check to see whether you have a system restore point that pre-dates this happening.

@Earthing The oldest restore point is yesterday, August 1st. The problem was first noticed about 3 days ago. Is there a way to find more restore points. I hesitate to reinstall Windows for a relatively minor problem.

    Thanks for jumping in. Appreciated..

Are you sure about that? At bottom left of the first System Restore box is a checkbox Show more restore points. If that doesn't throw up more then they don't exist.

S-O-L-V-E-D-! There are actually two places where OSK parameters can be changed. The less obvious place was in the Accessories menu. It looks exactly like Settings on the keyboard "Options" Menu but changing it from within Accessories worked.

FWIW, "Find More Restore Points" didn't find any more points.

    Thanks for your help! ;)

StruldBrug, the last comment in the MS Help link was the exact solution I needed. It also fixed the problem of frequent need to visit Options to re-implement the Text Prediction feature. Thanks. ;)

Well done Don and thanks for the feedback. FWIW the number of restore points available is determined by how much disk space you have allocated in System Protection. Right click Computer > Properties.
