ooh ooh.guys!!

I went out to dinner tonight with my new bosses. Two classy and well educated people I might add. Had a great dinner and good conversation. I felt slightly out of my leauge with them as they are both Cornell grads, but that's besides the point.

Get this..
They bought a new desk, a new pc with a 19inch LCD and no chair.. They said they wanted to get one that I would feel comfortable in and thus, we are going shopping for my chair on monday when I get to work.. how freaking cool is that!!!

 

Badass!!!! If my boss did that I'd be suspecting him wanting a pound of flesh and my firstborn... whenever that happens lol

 

Totally badass! FYI, we went to Pascale's Wine Bar on W.Fayette.. damn good food !!

Kodo, Congrats on the new found respect. It is a good thing. You have long been desrerving of it from the work sector. I am pretty sure that you have always had it from the peeps on the board.

 

I've worked at my company for eight years, and I've been trying to get a new chair for the past two years now!

I finally gave up and just "traded" mine with someone's down the hall who was on vacation.

I was expecting something about Arnold Horshack, but anyways, I hope you enjoy your new job.

 

Perhaps you should claim it is a health and safety issue otherwise you could sue for poor posture and damage to your back. It seems par for the course at work when the Health and Saety inspectors announce that they are going to visit for conformance to health and safety laws that all sorts of "stuff" can be got, wrist pads for the mouse and keyboard, blinds for the windows, anti-glare screen filters, desk lamps, cable ties, overhead lighting, anti-slip and anti-static carpet, light painted walls, etc. as well as a chair! It seems you only have to say no-win-no-fee law-suit and you've got yourself office refurbishment.

I guess that's one way to think of it. I worked pretty hard for the past few years to educate myself (no thanks to my previous employer) and it finally paid off.

 

been looking for over a year and a half. It took learning .NET on my own and a tweaked resume to land a good one.

That reminds me. I have to buy a new chair for my office. The lat one died around Christmas time, and I still haven't replaced it. Cost me a hundred bucks only a few months earlier, too!
