I had dual monitors activated between my laptop and an LCD using Windows Display Settings to activate the second monitor...

I had to disconnect the LCD to transport the laptop... so I checked off "extend my desktop to this monitor" in the Display Settings. So now only my laptop was displaying the desktop.... but for some reason the Display Settings Window is still out of view!! I can't get it back to reactivate the dual monitors...

Is there a way to access the display settings besides the usual 'right click desktop' > 'properties > display settings

because that window is gone right now...

Yes, there is a 'Display' icon in Control Panel, but I have a suspicion that the window is appearing on the part of the desktop you can't see. Try this, and if you still can't see it, then try booting into safe mode by rebooting the machine, and hitting F8 repeatedly (despite any beeping the machine may do) until you are presented with a Boot Options menu where you can select 'Safe Mode'. This loads windows with minimal drivers, so your desktop shouldn't be extended, and you'll be able to see the Display properties window, and change your settings.
