open email files

    A friend started setting me 'eml' files. I use Firefix and was unable to open them. I checked through the web and was recommended to use IE. I installed IE and the file will still not open. It appears to repeat the open with ___. I have it set to open in IE.

    Hi

    What email client software do you have installed? if you have Outlook/Outlook Express/Windows Live Mail or another like Eudora then open the eml with those apps, if you dont have an email client installed then install Windows Live Mail to open the eml files.

    As at times the browser will not open them, depends on content and security settings.


    I just located this HERE app and tested it for malware as I never have needed an eml viewer before as I use installed email client, bit it seems it will do the job and did do with a test eml of mine, just need to save the attached emls into a separate folder then browse for them with the app.

    I tried installing Windows Live (mail only) and it keeps telling me something is blocking it with an error codes - 0x0070643. Nowhere is there a satisfactory explanation. I am an experiennced with Win 7 HP. I don't have OE.
