Open programs blank in Wondows 7

I have a laptop that any program I open will open, but the opened window is blanck. Button are where they should be, an seem to work, but there is nothing to indicate what the buttons are and the opened screen is white. Attempted to run Malewarebytes and virus scan, but can't see what I need to in order to run the scans and removal. Anyone have any ideas?

A few different examples would be great.

 

I have opened up 2 windows here. You can see that the windows for the IM and for AVG are open, but that is all. In addition, some install programs are only showing up and a vertical line center of the desktop with the Red X to the left. Hope this helps!

 

Hehe that is pretty unique. I do not think this is caused by malware but we can try a few things or you can create a thread in Software.

http://img406.imageshack.us/img406/3189/windowsrepair.gif Download Windows Repair by Tweaking.com and unzip the contents into a newly created folder on your desktop.

• Now open Repair_Windows.exe
• Go to the Step 2 tab and press Do It
• When that is finished and if the problem persists, reopen the program and also complete Step 3.
• Restart your computer after completing Step 3.

I had to complete both step 2 and 3 before it was fixed so this leads me to believe that the problem was with the windir files being corrupted.
