I think you're out of luck finding an open source program.
I searched SourceForge.net and PortableApps.com, and I looked at this lenghty page.

There is very little demand for it.

There are 2346425653 different free ones and those who find a need for such an app are rarely developers who also desire the source code.

I'm glad you found one for Windows. The only "open source" system profiler I could find via Google was for Linux — specifically Ubuntu.

I use GNU/Linux most of the time, yes there's loads of open-source system profilers there.
