    Hi All ,
    I saw this new article today. I have seen allot of reference to Open Office in the forum and thought it may be of interest to some our Major Geeks.


    Malicious software targeting OpenOffice.org documents is spreading through multiple operating systems, according to Symantec.

    Am I understanding you correctly, that it is OK to use OpenOffice as long as I don't open the "badbunny.odg" file?

    This worm was from early 2007 and now likely covered with updates to Open Office and your antivirus definition files to cover this.

    Main one and should be for all, is only open macros in office applications that you trust, if they are from unknown sources then delete.

    And as this thread is from 2007, its past its sell by.
