I downloaded two Opera postings on major geeks today:

    Opera (BETA) 10.10 (Build 1893) [ 11.1 MB | Freeware | Win 2000/03/08/XP/Vista/7] New

    Opera 10.10 Final [ 11.1 MB | Freeware | Win 2000/03/08/XP/Vista/7

When I installed the 'final' version it turned out to be the beta.

Major Geeks should be more careful in its labelling to avoid abetting swindlers from advancing beta software to people who want only final stable versions.

There is a bad download link page. One of the downloads for supposedly 10.01 is missing and in it's place is a download for 10.10
You notice the date is the same on both and the size.
There is no way that something showing the same version 10.10 could be both beta and final on the same date.
MajorGeeks has hundreds, if not thousands of downloads available. I consider it truly amazing that there are not more glitches with all the software they need to test, scan for malware, upload to at least two servers, provide working links and write blurbs about the programs.

Today Opera is offering the same file it labelled 'beta' yesterday when installed as 1010 final from this site. It is clear that the misinformation was from Opera, not Major Geeks.
