Optowrite CD burner failing...

    I have an optopwrite CD-RW model CW5205 that used to work fine as hell....
    but know it just starts failing it doesn't reads, doesn't burns.
    When I insert a CD... the green light flashes for a while and the the light stays on all the time.... but it doesn't recognizes the CD.
    I check the drive and windows says its ok and has the latest firmware...



    What can be wrong... could it be the hardware???
    What can I do???
