I guess that's the effect on the tea industry when you have a Brit move to Oregon in Early Feb ;)

Hmmm...I read that as "tea bags" instead of tea leaves...but I guess it could mean the bottled stuff. We don;t really have that in the UK but it's pretty popular out here due to the iced-tea eipidemic ;)

I can get Cadbury's, here, or I would miss that. Mostly I miss.....

    my boys
    All indian food and supplies
    Fish n chips
Cream (they add sugar...that's why it's wierd)
    Bisto gravy granules

I don't actually miss that much. What I have gained far exceeds what I no longer have....except I miss my boys, but they are back out again at Easter :D

Mmmmm...cadbury's flakes.....last time I visitied AZ in 2002 a friend who lives there asked that I brought some flakes...he missed them so bad. So I did...about 30 of the things......but a delay at Tucson airport in the middle of August ensured they were more like blocks of chocolate than flakes by the time I got them off the tarmac!

The administrative assistant at the college where I used to work was English, and would always drink something called " ------- Extra Strong Teabags". Can't remember the brand, but it was wonderful. She used to have to get it from England. Anyone from the UK have any idea what I am talking about ????
You could pick it up at most "chain stores" in England.

    Extra Strong?

Is it the stuff in pyramid shaped bags? They're great :D PG tips does them. Personally I'm more of a Tetleys person myself (THE TEA NOT THE BITTER).

there is actually an english shop on oahu. i've not looked them up, though, so i dont know what they carry. if there is one here, i imagine there are more on the mainland. goldie, i bet it's getting cold about now. tea has kinda been swopped for cold beer here, but i still have the occasional cuppa, and have enough PG tips to last me at least a year! ruuning out of oxo cubes. i'll have to send an sos. i dont know how the americans make gravey, as they dont have bisto either.

Yeah, its really getting chilly - and windy - and raining. Right now we've got quite a clear sky which looks lovely but it's absolutely FREEZING. I might go for a cuppa now :p

We have an english groceries shop in Salem, but it is sooooo expensive. I thought food was expensive in England, but English food in America is even more so.

@Laurie....you can get Bisto-style cartons of gravy granules....look in the packet mixes section of your grocery store. If you still can't, msg me and give me your address and I'll post you some :)
