Organizing playlists in winamp 5

im trying to get winamp to display my playlists in the media library in alphabetical order. for some reason they are displayed chronologicly, first created being first and so on. help me!

 

hmmm i'm a long time winamp user but i don't organize my playlists that way, at least not with the media library...

I keep all my mp3's in one folder... What i did was load all the mp3's onto the winamp playlist section, then i deleted all the hiphop/rap mp3's from the playlist (just highlight the entry and hit delete button or hold shift and highlight multiple entries at a time) leaving only alternative songs, i then saved the playlist as Alternative in the mp3 folder... Then i repeated the same process except i deleted all the Alternative mp3's and saved the playlist as Hip Hop... when i download/rip new mp3's, i send them to the mp3 folder, load up the playlist they belong to, and then drag and drop them into into the proper alphabetical position in the playlist and Re-Save (overwrite) the old playlist with the updated one...

sounds complicated but it's a pretty efficient way to organize your mp3's... I found that keeping them in separate folders and loading the playlist from a single directory was a little annoying as it never seemed to work out right... Sorry I couldn't help you with you above problem but I felt i'd share my method of using winamp 5 and organizing my playlists... also, I downloaded the "Jump To File" plug in for winamp 5 that lets u right click "Enqueque" songs in your playlist so that they will play in the specified order, one after the other... therefore i don't really make specific playlists as i can just go through my larger playlists and specify which songs i want to play when... if you want to know more about that just ask...

the only thing i use the Media Library for is finding Winamp Stations and subsequently sending them to the Bookmarks section of the Media Library for easy access when i feel like listening to radio stations...
