Well as some of you allready know were getting it again.. I must say this SUCKS

 

I feel for ya dad...I really do. Lexie says she's seen a lot of plows...they keeping the roads pretty clear? I know plowing doesn't do a heck a lot of good with those temps...either does the sanding....to damn cold for it to be effective. Bet the scanner's going non stop huh? Stay home where it's safe and warm ok?

Uhmmm...you do have extra gas for the generator don't ya? lol

.LOW PRESSURE MOVING EAST OVER PENNSYLVANIA WILL WEAKEN AS ANOTHER
LOW DEEPENS OFF THE ATLANTIC COAST OVERNIGHT. SNOW FROM THIS SYSTEM
WILL CONTINUE OVERNIGHT WITH A FOOT OF SNOW POSSIBLE IN MANY AREAS.
SOMEWHAT HIGHER AMOUNTS CAN BE EXPECTED ALONG THE SOUTH SHORE OF
LAKE ONTARIO.

THE HEAVIER SNOW WILL TAPER OFF THIS EVENING EXCEPT IN THE COUNTIES
ALONG THE SOUTH SHORE OF LAKE ONTARIO WHERE NORTHEAST WINDS WILL ADD
MOISTURE FROM THE LAKE.

NORTHEAST WINDS WILL INCREASE TO 15 TO 25 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 30 MPH
TONIGHT PRODUCING NEAR WHITEOUT CONDITIONS AT TIMES WITH
CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW.

WIND CHILLS WILL BE 10 TO 20 BELOW ZERO...BUT DOWN TO 30 BELOW EAST
OF LAKE ONTARIO. IF YOU WILL BE OUTSIDE COVER AS MUCH OF YOUR FACE
AS POSSIBLE TO PREVENT FROSTBITE.

IF YOU MUST TRAVEL...BE PREPARED FOR ROUGH WINTER CONDITIONS. KEEP
AN EMERGENCY KIT IN YOUR CAR...AND ALLOW EXTRA TIME TO REACH YOUR
DESTINATION. BE SURE TO DRESS APPROPRIATELY FOR SEVERE WINTER
WEATHER. WEAR A HEAVY COAT...BOOTS AND GLOVES OR MITTENS...AND DON'T
FORGET TO HAVE A HAT OR SCARF.

 

What do you do when it is 6:30 am, dark, and there's a snowplow on your butt?
Heavy traffic, two lanes .

 

You get nervous and watch the rear-view mirror more than normal.

Not a whole lot you can do other than just keep on driving. And hope he stops when you do.

Only thing worse is to be stuck right BEHIND the snowplow thats blasting your car with rock salt.

 

My dog had to go out.. I went into the garage to get the LONG Lead we use for the summer and just opened the front door.. there's NO WAY I'm going out into that crap..lol I'll go head to head with it tomorrow.. with ... my... SNOW-BLOWER!!!

 

I would rather be in front of one than behind it...between the rock salt/sand mixture hitting the car and the plow exposing all the ice beneath the snow it's safer in front of it IMO. Been in both postions more times than I can count

 

Have friends that have been waiting for this, they left work early friday and headed for Michigan and took their snowmobiles.Personally i enjoy sitting here at home, some wine, family, good food, crank the heat up and hibernate!!!!

 

LOL...when it used to get really bad I used to do similar with Abby...I bought a 25' cotton clothes line, put one of those hooks on the end so I could attach it to her collar..opened the door just enough for her to get out then closed the door til she was done doing her thing...it sure didn't take long when it was nasty out either..lol

 

Crazy friends you have there I take it Michigan is getting the snow and below zero temps too?
