OS reboots at boot screen

When Iturn on my computer my boot screen comes up and reboots it self (XP Pro) I tried last known config, safe mode dosen't work, I got the blue screen with a Stop code of 0000021a and another code that is 0xc000008 (0x000000 0x00000) or some thing like that. Then I did a last known config that worked again and got the blue screen to go away and the F'in thig just keeps rebooting

 

It can either be a virus or a major os failure.
In any case your best option is to repair/reinstall.
But you must try safe mode and all other options first.

 

O.K here is what I've done, I stuck in my OS disk (XP PRO) went to R for repair typed in listsvc to see what I had and there was a bunch of shit that I thought that I got rid of a long time ago eg. weather bug, norton (by the way my friend has convinced me that norton is a virus) just a bunch of crap that shoud not of been there, I decided to format my C: drive so I restarted typed fromat C: and whited for the formating to finish then I restarted when the computer asked me to press any key to start from disk I waited to long and it told me that NTLDR was missing so I restarted again and pressed any key when promped the disk started I pressed ENTER to start Windows XP it started to load then the screen pops up that says to press F8 to accept the lisence agrement or Esc to restart my F8 key will not work!!!!! Esc will allow me to restart my Page Up and Page Down buttons work to move the page but the Fu***** F8 button does nothing HELP!!!!!!!!!
If nobody gets back to me by midnight central time in the US then I will have to wait again untill tomorrow when I'm at work to read this.....
Please Help Me!!!!!!

 

Try another keyboard.

 

I have another key board but if that doesn't work what is my back up plan, should I have done something else or did I do something wrong? some one said that I need to change that partition to FAT32 before I format or something along those lines?

 

NTFS is fine for windows xp.

 

So you think that I did every thing right so far? That it is just the keyboard? I will try the other keyboard I hope that works..... I was also thinking of getting a SATA hard drive (I understand that they are faster) I found out that my new mother board will support 2 of them. Would I be better off installing Win XP Pro onto that, the HD that I have now is a Seagate 160 gig and I have it partitioned in to 3 drives one for my OS one small one for a page file and most of it for storage.

 

SATA can wait.You just crashed your system.
We havent ruled out hardware problems yet.
And there is no way you can install xp without accepting the license(f8).

Yeh man I plugged in my old keyboard and IT WORKED!!!!!
I'm up and running again.......
just one more question, what anti-virus softwhere should I be using on my system? I have norton but I'm reluctent to insall that again because of the problems I've had in the past, any suggestions?

 

Kaspersky anti-virus is really good.
For free alternative,try AVG.
Use an anti-spyware program also.Either microsoft antispyware or Adaware from lavasoft.
