OK ... so I've recently starting working on adding products for an online retailer. This is all "low-budget", so there isn't a "web training" or resource here that I can ask things of, so I'm mostly reverse-engineering code. (I'm actually having a BLAST!) Fortunately, they don't get upset when things take me longer than they should because I've hopped down some css bunny trail just to see where it went! hehe

So - current project is embedding video. I know how (can grab code) to embed a YouTube link, but I don't always have that option & would like to know HOW to not have to do that. I've googled & have options (I have a .flv file at the moment) ... but here is my question.

One of the "free FLV players" (JW Player for Flash 5.0)states that it is a download for Windows. Currently, I'm on a Mac (under duress, btw), & I have NO IDEA currently what OS our site is hosted on. Customers will obviously be using a mix. So ... what machine is that program referencing?

Does it mean that *I* can't open the program, that I cannot upload it to the server unless it is Windows, or that only Windows-using web-visitors will be able to see the video?

    Thanks in advance!!
