Ot: What's Wrong With My Lzw Compression Technique?

Hi! I am working on my own version of the LZW technique and need help. I am wondering if my version is buggy, or if the technique is inferior to LZ77. I attached a code snippet that demonstrates the technique. In the code, CompBin01U() adds the current byte to a literal compression buffer, and, if full, calls CompBin01C(), CompBin01C() compresses the literals buffer using one of several techniques, and WriteDist() uses as little bits as possible to compress a value.
