Other Than Discord, Where Do People Chat About Gaming, Etc?

I installed Telegram, but it's not ideally what I wanted. People just use it to post updates. Some users don't allow comments.

From now on, I want to avoid using most public forums, even though forums are what I personally used to prefer. The idiots that run them often just leave them in a right state, though, which boggles the mind as to why they even still operate them. And a lot of people quit forums in general when Facebook and Twitter became huge, which is why it has been a struggle for years now to find one with some soul to it.

Now Discord isn't that great of a platform, in my view. However, it is what people began using a while ago, and its privacy settings could prove beneficial, so I decided now is the time to jump ship from forums to things that aren't classed as a forum especially, but they may offer up similar discussions.

Unfortunately, forums for gaming talk are just crap now, as either nobody really posts on them any more, or they are full of bots, troublemakers, and spam. Or certain people lack comprehension skills because they like to ask daft questions in threads, because they cannot be arsed reading things I wrote properly.

I noticed joyfreak.com is offline. Cloudflare said it's the host.

Most likely, they realized nobody cared about their spam filled threads. They were linking to dodgy stuff under the guise of it being normal, "news" posts. I joined the forum in 2019, but it just ended up a mess over the years.

But this is what I mean. It is happening basically everywhere today online, except maybe on Facebook. Although it depends, because groups are run independently, so they can be abandoned or poorly moderated too.
