We live on a dirt road and when it rains its good to have a 4x4 last time i looked at how much gas was it was at $2.49 It gets good gas mileage i guess because it has the K&N Air filter and magnaflow muffler. this thing will haul A$$.

Hey Sweet ride N5638J, just a sidenote had some friends that had the K&N filter set-up, they got great gas mileage, then got great engine repairs, you might want to google K&N filter problems. Seems they let more "Air" in but also let in Fine dirt as well.

But hey first take that sweet ride for a rip and let us know, sounds like you got a great price too

We have never had one problem with the K&N on the race car and on them dirt tracks when they dry you cant really see from all the dust in the air. but i will look into it. but i don't think we can put the stock air system on the car because it did not have it on it when we got it. but i am thinking of getting a amsoil air filter for it. because thats what we started to use on the race car now.

OC i cant ride in that field its a farming field. even tho theres nothing in it but they are about to plant something in it soon so i guess i got to get ready for the crop duster barn storming our house again.

Nice ride! Makes me miss my truck . . . :(

When my first wife and I divorced, I had to get rid of my '67 1/2 ton chevy and get a "dad" car ('99 Cavalier) . . . it's been a good car this last 7 years - but now the kids are out and on their own, I hear trucks calling me . . .

Anyway, looks like you got a good deal.

Aww, that's too bad then. I love ridding through the mud with my Jeep. Funnest thing in the world!

Don't worry about the K&N filter. I have a drop in on my jeep and the performance is worth it. Dust isn't a problem as long as you keep up on the filter's maintenance like it says in the information you posted. You're receiving the full benefit as well with a high flow exhaust. :D Most people don't realize that just adding a higher capacity air filter doesn't do much for performance. You have to let the exhaust out faster to take full advantage of the higher volume of air coming in as well. Nice ride!

Also don't over treat the K&N filter, as the treatment oil will also cause problems with the Mass Air Flow sensor.................I should have added the caveat for "Normal" users N5638J, forgot about all your racing posts sorry should no better........Blame it on "Oldzimers"

I still prefer going to a larger Paper element filter, then I can't either gum up the works, or worse not treat the filter right and allow in "Dirt". That is what I did for my Quads, Jeep J-10, and MH, but space wasn't a factor in the last two, but was a pain in the A** for the first.

Happy Trails N5638J, and see you out in the "Boonies"

Keep an eye on the Drive train those Durango's are know for problems there. My buddy's Trans took a dump twice & the rear end once.

    A positive note, Great Motor

I own a 95 Ram 1/2 ton Extended cab 4x4, have K&N air which is big improvement over stock.
I added a Posi-Lok 4x4 kit ( this is a must for dodge owners the stock cad is weak in cold weather or wet conditions)

Here's my new Crusier:p I'll probably skip the Off roading on it:major

Nice ride N5638J. I like the colour. And the brush guard gives it the "tough" look. I've talked about the K&N here before. I've seen what they can do to engines. Maintenance is important, but everytime you clean the filter wipe the inside of the intake duct with your finger. If you leave a track get rid of the filter. A good paper filter will not allow dust into the duct. However, given a choice,I would replace the filters available at Wal-Mart in an instant with the K&N. They are pure crap.

k&n filters are straight up the best there is. coming from the import tuner community i know (generally) my share of which basic parts are the best. a k&n filter is a good idea to grab no matter what vehicle you have.
