Our town was destroyed

    Too many pic's to post here, but you can just google "Vilonia,AR tornado".

    The only thing still standing is the block house that holds my ISP's servers and it still is functioning. Must have it's own power.

    I'm so sorry! I've been so focused on the bunch of folks I know around Tupelo I kinda forgot there were other places hit as well. I'm glad you're relatively unscathed personally, although I know it's hard to be surrounded by devastation as well.

    I looked up the pictures and the devastation is just sickening.

    They have rated it an EF3.......on the ground for 49 miles. Whole communities were wiped out. But the worst is the town. Nothing is left. All the businesses were totally destroyed. I have never seen so much destruction. This tornado was 3 years and two weeks after the last tornado hit the town.

    Jeez that's going to take a while for the town to recover and rebuild...... that drone really showed the total devastation :(

    ....at least the pickup can be replaced unlike someone losing their life ;)

    Holy s***.

    I don't even want to imagine trying to get groceries, gas, and basic healthcare in a community that just had that happen.

    Still, it's a great relief that you and yours are okay and that all you lost was a truck. Compared to what could have happened, that is nothing.

    One report I heard was that throughout the state and this one tornado, 3000 homes were destroyed. I can't imagine trying to pick up after having total destruction.

    Heard about this on the radio and couldnt believe how bad it sounded, actually seeing it....wow.

    I'm so glad you and yours are safe, Tim. I looked up some pictures you mentioned and looking at them, it's just both amazing and horrific that something as simple as wind could do that. Nature both astounds and scares me.

    You got tornados, we got massive flooding. I was starting to think we might needed to build an ark soon and yes, that is the TOP of the bus.

    WOW I read about the tornados on UK news but the story is much more powerful when it comes from someone who knows, than a dick reporter that knows naff all!

    Thats heavy news man . The states has been getting some rough times weather wise the last while.
    I just hope that it all gets quieter for you all in the coming times.
    Living here on the east atlantic we have seen wave heights up to 26 mtrs. and I was crazy enough to put a new roof on during the stormy season over xmas. But with the exception of some really heavy flooding due to torrential downpours there was nothing like the damage you guys suffered.

    However as the elephant says > Better times are coming < Stay safe stay bright.
