Outdated guide?

    The How to Protect yourself from malware guide seems to be quite out dated

    Even though I know it was last edited a week ago, the antivirus software mentioned doesn't show avira which is the best free option imo.

    Is there any other guide or is there a reason why avira isn't there?

    Also they say symantec is a system hug, but it just won best av of the year by av-comparatives and they say it's not a hug anymore, and it's actually pretty good, ok it's not free, but at least the claim should be removed until tested again I believe.

    We do indeed reccommend Avira:

    And host it here:

    Avira AntiVir Personal - FREE Antivirus 9.0.0.418

    Norton IS bloatware in my opinion and cannot do any better than what other free anti viruses can do. The newer version may well take up less resources but we much favour the "layered approach" here at Majorgeeks, we find this works best for most people.
