Outlook 2002

I have a user that claims their Outlook is continuously locking up when doing various things (replying, sending etc) and they have to use task mgr to end the task.

I can't help but thinking that there is user error involved here, but have any of you come across this or how to resolve it?

One possible is that depending on how much they use Outlook the .pst files may have grown too large and that can have weird things happen.. lockups etc etc

some info on outlook 2002 the large .pst issue is listed here under October 4, 2001 Update plus another could be the amount of emails stored if over 1000 OL2002 You Can't Send Messages if There Are More Than One Thousand Messages in Your OST Outbox

other than that a Detect and Repair may fix any failure.

is Office 2002 all fully upto date if not a trip to Office Update could be on the cards.

I did a detect and repair and she claims it still happens.
I also checked for updates, already up to date.
The PST isn't too large, only 300 deleted items, 11 inbox and 300 sent. Not bad at all.....
I'm still thinking user....
any other ideas?

Try turning off word as the mail editor and test...
