I have someone here at my office who transferred from another location and was using a computer that had Office 2007 installed on it. He saved his e-mail (personal) files and the default extension is .ost. Then, he is now using a computer that has Outlook's 2003 version installed; this creates personal files with .pst extensions.

So, he tried to import the .ost files into Outlook 2003 and it will not let him. I told him that I thought it was not backwards compatible. Do you know if there is a way to do this/fix this problem and import the .ost files into the 2003 version?

    Thanks,

    Thanks.

Once the Compatibility Tool had been installed, I just tried to run it and import the files and it gave me problems. I am performing an Inbox scan of the pst files right now.

    Am I missing something?
