Outlook 2003 Issues

I have an oldish PC with Vista Home Edition and MS Office 2003 Professional

I have had some issues with the admin account that seemed to get corrupted and managed to recover everything but in the process I appear to have broken MS Office.

Note that I can no longer locate the Office 2003 install disk

Symptoms are different for existing (non admin) accounts and the existing admin account. New (admin or non admin) accounts have the same symptoms as existing (non admin accounts)

Existing (non admin accounts) :-

- All MS Office apps work fine, except for Outlook
- When trying to start Outlook the Windows Installer process kicks off, then fails as "SKU1E3.CAB" cannot be found

Existing admin account, newly created account :-

- Outlook fails in the same way as described above
- Other Office apps initially display the same behaviour (Windows Installer, seemingly stumbling over not finding SKU1E3.CAB) but then actually do start after the failed install process

Any ideas on how this can be fixed without the initial install disk (or whether MS will provide a replacement for the install disk) gratefully received

You may also be able to access the same repair feature through the programs Add/Remove dialog, but I'm not sure if it is available in Office 2003. If it's there, you can click on Office 2003 in the Add/Remove list and there should be a "Change" button. Press the button, then select repair.

Repair has always worked for me so far...

 

Thanks for the advice. I just tried this , but unfortunately the repair process hits the same issue & cannot find the file "SKU1E3.CAB" and so aborts at that point

It seems like I need the install CD to fix this. Is there any way to get that from MSFT? I have the product ID & install key
