Outlook 2007 Mystery problem. Keeps stoping

    I keep thinking I'll see an error code or something but I don't. Outlook keeps stopping, then when the message says the OS is looking for solutions it already goes right to the starting message. It has become more persistant and usually happens right after I click on an email message from any number of websites which I visit on a regular basis.

    Anyone else have this happen? It's mystery to me.

    Not had that issue happen in OL2007 but possible cause and one to check is your AntiVirus application, if it has Email Scanning capabilities, disable them and test OL.

    TBH, I never have found the need to install the email scanning parts of AVs as the main background/resident scanner of an AV scans everything including email so no real need IMO to scan twice, so I disable that scanner in my favoured AV in Avast and have had no email virii issues at all ( X's fingers and toes as statements like that are cyber kiss of death ).

    Also have a look in the Event Viewer > Software to see if any mention of Outlook and crashes/hangs are listed and if so whats the error code ID?
