Lord how I loathe this program! But my wife is used to it and disinclined to change so when there's an issue inevitably I get drawn in. She has two IMAP accounts set up, her old ISP account and, more recently, Gmail IMAP. Incoming mail is OK but I can't see how to select the outgoing account in Outlook for new messages - everything we send is going from her old ISP account. Got to change that as we are leaving the ISP next week. TIA :)

It's OK, I've found the account selector when composing. B....y program!

Yeah I love Outlook and have 2016 but it can be a damn pain at times when setting up accounts or editing them like you needed too, most cases its the "X" email settings and nothing Outlook can do, but it tries really well in auto setup in most cases.
