OUtlook Exp. Envelope

Hi there, I use Outlook Exp. for my emails. Now whenever I got a new mail a little envelope would appear in the bottom right hand corner. now all i get is a tune. Which i can hardly hear when doing other things.

I have looked in the settings and I cant see the checkbox to click for this envelope. It must have gone or I need to look somewhere else.

Any ideas.

I mean I can live with it but it is annoying having to physically look in my inbox.

Are you certain it's not full-blown Microsoft Outlook you're thinking of?

While I can't say I'm a big user of Outlook Express, I've never known it to have this feature, and can't find any options for it IN outlook express (Although I did find options for the sound you hear, and you would think the envelope option would be there too - it is in full-blown Outlook), or by googling "outlook express" envelope site:microsoft.com....

 

There is a legacy email checker in the OE folder....I think. Let me look.

 

Or not. Must have been removed years ago and I never noticed
