Hey there! I recently sent an email and this error message bounced back which now comes up with *every* mail that I send out, regardless of what the email address is. The error message relates only to the original email addy when it pops up - not new email ads that I'm sending to. I *am* able to successfully send emails. I just can't get rid of it:

"The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was 'I've deleted this part intentionally.co.uk'. Subject 'I've deleted this intentionally', Account: 'pop.ozemail.com.au', Server: 'smtp.ozemail.com.au', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 Invalid recipient: <546>', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79"

    Any suggestions?

    cheers

That's probably cos "I've deleted this part intentionally.co.uk" isn't a valid e-mail address. Get rid of it and send it again.

Nah, if you're bein sirius I deleted the email addy for this thread/post for privacy reasons. The email address is a valid one. What do u mean by "get rid of it"?

    cheers for ur reply

    Re: Outlook Express 6 HELP!

If there's anybody out there who can solve this problem for me I would be seriously grateful as it's driving me nuts, getting this error message *every* time I send an email, regardless of what the address is. Here's the full error message I get each time I hit send:

The message could not be sent because one of the recipients was rejected by the server. The rejected e-mail address was '546 kmntranscripts@yahoo.co.uk'. Subject 'Updated glossary for C20046560', Account: 'pop.ozemail.com.au', Server: 'smtp.ozemail.com.au', Protocol: SMTP, Server Response: '550 Invalid recipient: <546>', Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 550, Error Number: 0x800CCC79

This relates to an email I tried to send to someone weeks ago. When this message pops up, the only option I get is to close out of it. When I right click on it, the only option is to copy it. There's no option to delete the original send command. I've wiped the original message off my machine. Have tried every which way but loose to cancel the send command - no luck. Am just about ready to throw the thing out the window.......

    Re: Outlook Express 6 HELP!

Basically your problem is due to the fact that the e-mail server that you are using does not recognise your e-mail address as being a valid user of that server. Here is a Microsoft article on this subject: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;214402 and http://www.microsoft.com/windows/IE/community/columns/mailserver.mspx There are other articles but I think that this should be enough.

First, check your e-mail server settings and your own e-mail address/account is correctly set-up. You may need to set the "My server requires authentication" check box on the servers tab of your account in Outlook Express - check with your ISP's web page for e-mail server settings.

Second check that your internet connection settings are correct to access your ISP and thus your ISP mail server.
