Outlook Express Address Book BackUp Problem

Hi!

I was backing up my e-mail address book, and realized that I've got 2 Contacts within Outlook Express 6 that show in my backup folder that I created, but not in the Outlook Express Address Book.

When I open my address book in Outlook, I have "MyNameHere Contacts". However, when I export the address book to another location in my computer or 3 1/2 floppy, I see "MyNameHere Contacts" as well as "Main Identities Contacts".

The 2 lists have different addresses. I need the addresses from "MyNameHere Contacts", not the ones listed in "Main Identities Contacts."

Where did "Main Identities Contacts" come from? It looks like an old list. As far as I can tell, I only have one identity in Outlook, (using my name), yet 2 show only when I back it up to another location.

Know what I mean?

PS.
I tried to delete the "Main Identities Contact" list when it appeared out of no where into my backup folder. It always comes back when I export my Outlook address book into my backup folder. This is the list of names that I don't want. "Main Identities Contact List" doesn't appear when I open Outlook Express address book.

Hi!

It's all good! I discovered that a previous fix a long time ago by an ISP technician had left behind a few hidden trails. Unfortunatly, I didn't realize the clutter left until I tried to backup my e-mail addys to a seperate folder. I'm sorry, I couldn't tell ya what the heck I did to solve my problem! lmao I pressed a bunch of buttons in menus, deleted stuff, exported, created and deleted identities????
I sure as heck couldn't do it again if I wanted to!
