Outlook Express problem!

Hi!

Scenario:

A computer running Windows XP Professional, Outlook Express is used as a mail client, sent items folder contains messages date back to 01-01-2006 (large amount of messages)

Sometimes, some messages are not shown in sent items, for example, from 05-20-2007 to 05-26-2007, I simply close Outlook, log off, then log in again, I click on sent items, and here you are! I find the messages back.

I really want to know the reason for this? What if my way didn't work someday?

Any ideas?

Thank you for your advice, I had some doubts about it, and now you confirmed it. I have more than 10,000 messages in there! I really should move some of them very soon.

Is it possible to put old messages on CDs and then restoring them back when needed?

 

Once you back it up, you can store it on CD.

Compact your folders People!!!!! Failure to do so is the most common cause of problems like this in OE.
File>Folder>Compact All Folders.

That goes for Thunderbird users too.
