Outlook Express Problem

Okay I just started to have this problem and I don't have a clue whats going on or how to fix it. The only thing I have done different with my computer is install Windows Updates, changed from AVG to Norton for my AntiVirus and updated my Internet Explore to the IE7beta (yes I use Firefox but have to use IE for something for training purposes work related).

First I would like to say that I have ran spyware programs, AV scan, etc.. and my system is up to date.

Now my problem when I am in Outlook Express Reading my emails if I have a link that I would like to click on it takes me to my user profile ( my name under Documents & Settings) instead of opening up the web page for that link. I have no problem clicking on links elsewhere its just within Outlook Express.

So can anyone help me to determine whats wrong and how to correct the problem??

I have seen this one!

I THINK the problem is that Firefox is the default browser, maybe try changing IE7 to the default browser and seeing what happens. Not %100 sure on this, it may be reversed- But if I am recalling correctly, in the case where I saw this problem, IE7 Beta blew up firefox (regarding hyperlinks, anyway).

IE7 also has a nifty "reset all defaults" button under the control panel->internet options->advanced tab, which magically fixes a host of browser problems.

Let me know if this helps, sorry I can't remember it more specifically...

 

Sighh I tried making IE7 my default browser I tried the "reset all defaults" to no avail. I just gave up and restored my computer back to before I downloaded and installed IE7.. Now my links in Outlook Express work so I guess until the IE7 problem gets fixed I won't be messing with a good thing with IE6.
